Gwen Renée Stefani, born October 3, 1969, in Fullerton, California, is an American singer, songwriter, and fashion designer. She rose to fame as the lead singer of the band No Doubt in 1994. Their self-titled debut album, *No Doubt*, was released in 1992, followed by *The Beacon Street Collection* and *Tragic Kingdom*, both released in 1995. The band returned in 2000 with *Return of Saturn*, followed in 2001 by *Rock Steady*, which included the hit single "Hey Baby."

In 2004, Stefani launched her solo career with her debut album, *Love. Angel. Music. Baby.*, followed in 2006 by *The Sweet Escape*. In 2008, Stefani rejoined No Doubt, who had reunited. In 2016, ten years after her last solo album, Stefani released *This Is What the Truth Feels Like*. She released a Christmas album, *You Make It Feel Like Christmas*, in October 2017. In 2024, she released her fifth studio album, *Bouquet*.

*Love. Angel. Music. Baby.* Love. Angel. Music. Baby. is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Gwen Stefani. It was released on November 12, 2004, by Interscope Records, which also handled distribution. After contributing to five albums as the lead singer of No Doubt, Stefani returned to the recording studio alone in early 2003 and began recording songs. At that time, she was indirectly working on a side project that would eventually become a full-length album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby. She co-wrote all the tracks on the album, collaborating with various songwriters and producers, including André 3000, Dallas Austin, Dr. Dre, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, The Neptunes, and Linda Perry. Eve and André 3000 also contributed vocals to several tracks. Designed to evoke the sound of 1980s music, Love. Angel. Music. Baby. was influenced by artists and groups such as The Cure, Lisa Lisa, New Order, Prince, Depeche Mode, and Madonna. The album incorporates a diverse range of genres, including electropop, dance-rock, new wave, and soul, while the lyrics explore varied themes such as fashion, wealth, and romantic relationships. Its promotional cycle included the release of six commercially successful singles, as well as the launch of a North American tour, the Harajuku Lovers Tour. Furthermore, Gwen Stefani was often accompanied by four Japanese dancers during this promotional tour, more commonly known as the Harajuku Girls.

Love. Angel. Music. Baby. received generally positive critical acclaim upon its release. It has also received six Grammy Award nominations, including Album of the Year at the 48th ceremony in 2006. It debuted at number seven on the US Billboard 200, selling nearly 309,000 copies in its first week, before peaking at number five. Over the years, the album has been certified multi-platinum in several countries and has sold over eight million copies worldwide.
