This is the performance filmed and recorded on June 3rd, 1989, at the Alice Tully Hall, New York's Lincoln Center. Conductor Gunther Schuller directed 30 musicians, a big band featuring among other Randy Brecker, John Handy, Wynton Marsalis. Epitaph is the largest and longest piece for jazz orchestra ever written, now available on DVD! (131 minutes, NTSC, area 0, English text).
