Originally released in 1974, "Mirage" is the second studio album by the British progressive rock band Camel. This French vinyl pressing, reissued by Deram (ref.: 278.135 - (B)) in March 1977, reflects the quartet's enduring popularity in the late 1970s. Driven by the creative duo of Andrew Latimer (guitar, flute) and Peter Bardens (keyboards, synthesizers), and supported by Doug Ferguson and Andy Ward, the album features five tracks recorded at Island Studios and remixed at Air Studios. From the "Lord of the Rings" inspired symphonic piece "Nimrodel / The White Rider" to the epic "Lady Fantasy" the record showcases the band's technical mastery, blending complex time signatures, soaring flute passages, and ethereal melodies.
